Hatha Yoga I (A05FIT903) For health and serenity, people of all ages have turned to yoga, a systematic sequence of stretching exercises to relieve tension and work out stiffness, to stimulate and revitalize. Attention will be given to your special muscular or skeletal problems, with emphasis on holistic health awareness. You do only what is comfortable at your own pace without strain. T'ai Chi Chuan (A05FIT901) Become familiar with the short form of Yang style T'ai Chi Ch'uan developed by Professor Cheng Man Ching. T'ai Chi Ch'uan is an ancient Chinese martial art often described as "meditation in motion" whose benefits to health, balance, posture, breathing and concentration are becoming more and more widely known. It may be practiced by men and women of all ages and fitness levels.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat, flexible shoes (not sneakers) and, as with all exercise, consult a doctor before undertaking the class.
