Learn to see and draw like an artist. You'll work with charcoal, pencil, and ink. Bring 18" x 24" newsprint pad and charcoal sticks to first meeting.

Oil Painting, Introduction to (A05ART902)

You don't have to be a Van Gogh to enjoy oil painting.  It's fun, relaxing and enriches the soul.  Learn the fundamentals and explore some of the technical aspects of oil painting.  You will be introduced to color theory, and a variety of materials and practices.  Additional cost for materials is about $100. A list of required materials will be mailed to you.

Watercolors, Beginning and Intermediate (A05ART904)

Explore the basics of watercolor painting. Fundamental techniques are presented in a simple way to make watercolor painting enjoyable and rewarding. You will learn basic color theory, composition, materials and technique tips while creating your own landscapes and still life paintings. The materials list will be mailed to you. Additional cost of supplies is approximately $75.

Portraits Step-by-Step (A05ART905)

Learn to create step-by-step portraits of your children, friends or pets, while developing an artistic style. Techniques learned can be applied to any paint medium. Bring to the first meeting a sketchbook 8 1/2” x 11” or larger, photographs of subject being portrayed, pencils (different grades HB, 2B, 4B…) and an eraser.
