High School Diploma or GED
10th Grade Reading Level
8th Grade Math Level
Proficiency in spoken English
Ability to work with very ill and disabled patients

Program Description

This training program will provide 120 hours of instruction in basic nursing theory and the skills necessary to provide care to clients in health care institutions and other settings. Hours are distributed:

 Classroom instructions: 21 sessions (90 hours)
Clinical practice: 5 sessions in a local nursing facility (30 hrs)

4 Prep Sessions (15 Hrs): To prepare for the New York State Certification Exam
